For the past few years I've participated in the Friends for Life Bike Rally, which is the main fundraiser for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.
The Toronto PWA works to enhance the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS, especially those who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe.
For the thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto, Kingston and Montreal, as well as the communities between, through which we pass on the Bike Rally, increases in the cost of living over recent years and months contribute to an even greater need for the kinds of supports offered by the PWA. To say nothing of the challenges felt by refugees to Canada, where we see a desperate need for food and housing, exacerbated by disproportionate numbers living with HIV/AIDS and the challenges managing HIV/AIDS require.
Please join me in supporting this the Toronto PWA by offering a donation and help me help the PWA reach their fundraising goals.
