This summer, for the fourth time, I’ll follow the legacy of the thousands of riders before me who, over 26 years, have established and etched into the pavement the annual journey from Toronto to Montreal of the Friends for Life Bike Rally. The Rally raises awareness of the ongoing impacts of HIV/AIDS in our communities, and through its fundraising, enables the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA) to continue offering high-quality services.
The bike rally is the one cause in the year where I’ve decided to focus my efforts - financially, and through the time and energy I commit to training and staying connected with fellow participants throughout the year. It is a group of people who are some of the most committed and caring that I have met, and with the grit to complete months of training that culminate in 6 days of riding over 600 km in the hot August sun.
The strong community of the Bike Rally exists to support the important cause of HIV/AIDS, which continues to have sizable impacts in our communities. My ask is that you join me in making a financial contribution to the Friends for Life Bike Rally. You can donate through my page here: http://secure.pwatoronto.org/goto/Cory25
Even better, you should come along as either a rider or a volunteer if you are able.
