I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. I'm riding in the Friends for Life Bike Rally to support the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation (PWA) because this cause is deeply personal to me, as I too live with this diagnosis. Living with HIV is still a difficult and often isolating experience, even today. The stigma, the medical complexities, and the emotional weight of the diagnosis don’t just go away. That’s why organizations like PWA are so critical. They provide vital services—like food programs, treatment support, counseling, and community—that help people like me not just survive, but live with dignity and hope.
This ride is more than a physical challenge; it’s a statement. It's a way for me to show that people living with HIV are still here, still strong, and still deserving of compassion, care, and visibility. Every kilometer I ride helps raise money for those who need it most, and helps fight the stigma that still surrounds HIV. I ride because PWA is there when they need support, and because I want to make sure that people continue to have access to the same life-affirming care. This rally is about resilience, community, and love—and I’m proud to be part of it.
