2025 has been a scary year so far for marginalized communities. There is no sugar-coating it when we are bombarded by headlines of those with the power and political agendas stripping away vulnerable peoples' security and safety, just a little too close to home. While we are fortunate in Toronto and Canada to express who we are and live healthy and safe lives (mostly), events have demonstrated how fragile these basic rights can be. Those living with HIV/AIDS have the right to lead long, healthy lives.

This is what is motivating my journey this year.

PWA's work provides treatment to all people through access to medication, housing supplies, counseling, and education. With the rising cost of living and affordable housing crisis in this city, these services are needed more than ever. I encourage you to check them out at https://www.pwatoronto.org/.
