Welcome to my Friends for Life Bike Rally page!

I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. After hitting many big cycling goals last year but having to postpone a ride to Ottawa because of injury, I'm ready to take on a new, bigger challenge this year for a great cause - 600km from Toronto to Montreal! The ride is fully supported and since it's such a beautiful route, we'll also be camping most of the way.

In a time when the US is throwing public health and NGO aid organizations into turmoil, withdrawing public health and forbidding the distribution of supplies and promotion of programs to help people living with HIV/AIDS - a now very preventable and treatable disease - our support means everything, and not just abroad. Many of my research colleagues are doing critical work for these communities here at home, who continue to experience real barriers to care and ongoing stigma. I am very excited to be putting my cycling towards raising funds for organizations in the cities along our route (Toronto, Kingston, Montreal) doing incredible work in the community to provide people living with HIV/AIDS with needed food, wellness care, peer support and a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
