Another training ride
I can’t believe it’s my 15th year as a participant in the Friends for Life Bike Rally. Yikes! I have been very fortunate to experience the Bike Rally from both a rider and crew member’s perspective. I keep coming back to participate in the event for 2 main reasons: to help the clients of PWA, and for the wonderful friendships that have been formed and strengthened over the years.
The need within our community for the vital programs, services and supports provided by PWA has become greater than ever. I will be on the Road Support crew, supporting the riders from Toronto to Montreal, along with raising funds and awareness regarding the amazing work completed on a daily basis by the staff at PWA, and to help ensure that their work can continue to meet the needs of individuals and families living with HIV and AIDS in the Toronto area.
