I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS.
This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, medication, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
On a more personal level, I was regsitered for the event in 2020 so didn't get the opportunity to complete it due to COVID. The ride is 600 km from Toronto to Montreal over 6 days, with the longest day being 122 km! I have not ridden anywhere near that distance in well over 15 years (since a bike trip I did in Newfoundland in 2009!). I am looking forward to the training, physical challenge and committment to my own health.
I hope you'll join me in support of theFriends for Life Bike Rally and help support my fundraising efforts by making a secure online donation.
