Hello friends, 

For 10 years, I have climbed out of tent, put on some spandex or a crew shirt, taken in a deep breath and cried out "LET'S DO THIS!" 

Some days, it came from a place of strength, others were from resilience, and occasionally, it was straight up resignation. 

But I keep getting on that damn bike...

This year will be no different. And just like when I started all those years ago, there's still every reason to ride.

There is no functional cure for HIV. Medications, like the ones I take to manage the virus, cost $1500 or more per month, and stigma still exists. 

PWA provides a place where people like me can come and access services with dignity. Our food bank is set up more like a grocery store where you pick and choose what you need, instead of taking what's handed to you. Our clothing boutique looks like a real shop where you decide if the outfit looks good on you. And our staff create an environment which welcome you in and makes you feel accepted no matter where you come from.
