Hello Friends:
This coming summer, I am cycling from Toronto to Montreal. This will be my 11th Bike Rally (plus one year driving a van as support crew). I love being on my bicycle and this summer, there will be over 300 riders.
Let me persuade you to ride with me and/or sponsor my ride:
* Fantastic fitness challenge - 600 km in 6 days
* Wonderful people - over 300 riders
* Important cause - supports and programs for people with HIV/AIDS
* Very well-organized with road support, food crew, medical and health professionals, bicycle mechanics, social activity planners - it's a moving village of good will!
Founded and organized by the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation, the Bike Rally partners with Kingston and Montreal AIDS service organizations and starting this year, welcomes Ottawa's Bruce House. This is a fundraising bike ride because the services and supports are needed in all our communities. I am excited to be training and getting ready for the first week of August. I invite your donations to my personal ride in support of Bruce House and Toronto People with AIDS Foundation. Please sponsor my ride!
We are looking for Ottawa riders. There are 8 of us so far. We will be having training rides and socials leading up to the Bike Rally. We are also firming up plans for transporting our bicycles and equipment to Toronto and from Montreal back to Ottawa.
Let's meet in person so I can persuade you to ride. You could do the full 6 days, or "dip your toe" into this experience with a 3-day (Toronto-Kingston or Kingston-Montreal) or even a 1-day ride. Get fit this spring and summer with a wonderful challenge!
