Billyard is at it again!
Hi!
This year will be the fourth year that I've ridden with a brilliant team of men and women from Toronto to Montreal and I could really use your support! This is a 6-day (2-7 Aug), 600km charity ride in support of the organizations in Ontario and Quebec supporting people living with HIV/AIDS (see more below). Thanks to the generosity that I have received over the last three year, I have no doubt that I can make my $3,000 goal this year, but I can't do it without your help.

This challenging yet motivating event raises money to help people who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them. And they really need our help. The communities that are affected by HIV / AIDs in Canada are all of our communities and not those limited to just a narrow demographic (for example, ~40% of the new diagnoses in Canada were after exposure to heterosexual contact; https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/hiv-infection-rates-canada-1.7397342). Across these provinces people are struggling with an illness that although is manageable (nowadays they have better longevity than, say, people with diabetes), they still suffer terribly from stigma and ostracizing. There are programs in place to help with their mental and physical well-being (such as PWA in Toronto, Trellis in Kingston and ACCM in Montreal) and we are trying to raise money to help these places provide their valuable service.
