Hey there, it's Jeff. Welcome to my Friends for Life Bike Rally page!
This year I am so excited to be riding in the Friends for Life Bike Rally, which does incredible work for people living with HIV/AIDS.
I heard about the ride from my friend Nestor, who started as a rider and then joined me for my first summer with the rally on Road Support. Together we assisted riders by giving lifts, providing refreshments, and lifting spirits. It was amazing to engage with the Friends for Life community, and by the end of the week, I knew that I was hooked.
While I look back fondly on my time as Road Support, I am ready to give riding a try. This means more preparation, more training, and most importantly, more fundraising.
During last year's rally, I found out that the number of people living with AIDS in Canada has been growing--from 2022 to 2023, there was a 35.2% increase (StatsCan). Being something that still affects so many Canadians, it is crucial to support organizations like PWA, which provide food, wellness care, peer support, and gathering spaces for those affected.
With this in mind, I hope you will support my fundraising efforts with a donation. Truly no amount is too small, and every little bit helps!
