I am so excited to be back participating for my second year in the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. Last year's experience was incredible and it was an easy decision to come back for more and raise money for an important cause.
Public health and NGO aid organizations have been under intense cuts and pressures in the last few years, leaving people living with or vulnerable to HIV/AIDS with even more limited options for life-saving care and support. Many of my research colleagues are doing critical work for these communities here at home, but they too are feeling the impacts, so I'm putting my cycling skills to the test once again as I ride 600km from Toronto to Montreal to raise funds for PWA Toronto, which is doing incredible work to provide people living with HIV/AIDS with needed food, wellness care, peer support and a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
You can help support me by making a secure online donation to my fundraising page. I'll be riding with a few of my Saddle Sisters and hopefully many new friends! And for family/friends en route, I'd love to see you along the way!
