I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. This is my second year participating. I rode all 6 days last year, but I signed up for the one day this year.
Friends for Life was an amazing opportunity for me as a relatively green cyclist. I got to participate in so many training rides, learn from so many experience cyclists, and meet some truly amazing people. I pushed myself to new limits, challenged myself to do something hard, and camped for the first time (which, I will admit, was by far the worst part of the whole thing!)
But cycling has taught me a lot. And I'm so happy to be part of the rally, even if it's just for one day. This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them. PWA Toronto helps provide financial assistance and other practical support for those living with HIV/AIDs, as well as community access, health and therapeutic care, and many more services.
If you're able to, support my fundraising efforts with a donation! It'll go towards a great cause!!!
