As I become more and more engaged with my own community, I am so excited to be in my first year to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS.
This is an annual fundraising event hosted by the People With AIDS Foundation in Toronto each August to raise money for community people with HIV/AIDS who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
Each year hundreds of people from Ontario and the US such as San Francisco and Palm Springs mostly who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS ride their bikes from Toronto to Montreal in 7 days to achieve their pledges. That's a 543 km long ride. Well, I definitely do not have that physique to do that, but I joined as a crew member to support them by ensuring road safety on the roads and highways in this 7 days.
I hope you'll join me at the Friends for Life Bike Rally and help support my fundraising efforts. You can do this by making a secure online donation on this site, if you decide to, or just send me a message back with a non-monetary support. Either way will be "heartfelt-ly" appreciated.
