I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS.
After 27 years of my participating in California AIDS Ride and AIDS/LifeCycle as a rider (from 1997 to 2025, interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic—I missed the first three years), there is no longer a fundraising bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles for this cause. But during the last AIDS/LifeCycle
ride, through a team of riders who called themselves the Frosty Beavers, I discovered this wonderful event from Toronto to Montreal in the fight against AIDS, which has taken place annually since 1999. It will have been 25 years since I last rode in my hometown for this cause, when I participated in the
Canada-U.S. AIDS Vaccine Ride, which raised funds for vaccine research.
I hope you'll help support my fundraising efforts with a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for
them.
You can help support me by making a secure online donation using your credit card. Remember that Canadian dollars are smaller, so if you are in the United States, please adjust your donation amounts upward to take into account that US$1.00 is approximately C$1.40 (for example, a donation of C$140
will show up as only US$100 on your credit card).
This cause is close to my heart, and I hope you can join me in supporting it!
