I’m gearing up for my 9th Friends for Life Bike Rally, riding from Toronto to Montreal to support people living with HIV/AIDS - My eighth as a rider!  My first time was 2006 and the last was 2018.

To be completely honest, I’m down to the wire this year. The need is fairly urgent:  Canada has a relatively small HIV-positive population but as recently as 2023, the number people learning they are carrying the virus grew by 35%.  

It is also urgent and time-sensitive because I need to raise another $1,750 by August 1st. to be allowed to join the ride when we depart from Corktown Common in Toronto on 2 August to head to Montreal during 6 days and over 660 km later with over 300 fellow riders and crew.

Every dollar goes directly to the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, providing essential food, wellness care, peer support, and a safe, welcoming space for those who need it most.  I’ve included an snapshot below to give an idea of what impact your dollars have and are used for. 

This cause means the world to me. It is the best experience being a part of a community that I have ever had which is a big part of why I am riding again … with your support.
