Welcome to my Friends for Life Bike Rally page!

 

I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS.

 

After 27 years of my participating in California AIDS Ride and AIDS/LifeCycle as a rider (from 1997 to 2025, interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic—I missed the first three years), there is no longer a fundraising bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles for this cause. In addition, in 2001, I also participated in the Canada-U.S. AIDS Vaccine Ride, from Montreal to Portland, Maine, which raised funds for AIDS vaccine research.

But during the last AIDS/LifeCycle ride, through a team of riders who called themselves the Frosty Beavers, I discovered this wonderful event from Toronto to Montreal in the fight against AIDS, which has taken place annually since 1999.

This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
