I am so excited to once again be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with, affected by and at risk of HIV/AIDS.
I'll be doing the three day ride, 300kms from Kingston to Montreal.
Many of you are aware that I’m the Executive Director at Trellis HIV & Community Care (formerly HARS) in Kingston, which is one of the beneficiaries of the funds raised through the Bike Rally.
This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help the people we serve. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them. Impacts of the COVID pandemic have only increased the needs of the people we work with every day, and we rely on donations and fundraising to cover the practical supports not covered by our provincial and federal funding.
This year, I've set a $10,000 personal fundraising goal. We hit the target last year, let's do it again!
Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Donate to my page to help me reach my fundraising goal
Share my fundraising posts with your friends
Attend our fundraising events as we lead up to the Rally in August
Join the Friends for Life Bike Rally and create your own fundraising page!
I hope you'll join me at the Friends for Life Bike Rally and help support my fundraising efforts with a donation. And look out for news on a great event August 8th in Kingston!
This cause is close to my heart, and I hope you can join me in supporting it!
