I am so excited, once again, to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. I had a difficult decision last year, to pull out due to the sight problems I was having. Surgery done, I'm raring to go next August. Although I am still riding outdoors all winter, I have joined the indoor training rides.
Sadly, there is a crisis in our communities with increased refugees and newcomers that is directly impacting the resources of community organizations like PWA, Trellis & ACCM.
There just aren’t enough resources to provide housing, access to medical treatment and prescriptions, financial assistance, food and above all ability to navigate a system that has left refugees and newcomers living abandoned by a country that was meant to welcome them. Hundreds are finding their way to us knowing they will be welcomed because they are HIV+.
Here are a few ways you can get involved:

I hope you'll join me at the Friends for Life Bike Rally and help support my fundraising efforts with a donation.
This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
You can help support me by making a secure online donation using your credit card.
This cause is close to my heart, and I hope you can join me in supporting it! I will be riding this year in memory of David Dafoe and Peter Evans
