Welcome; this is my farewell tour 2024; my LAST ride..
final UPDATE JULY 27, 2024
Final training ride: 407 - Keswick 132km; I’m glad I was doing Road Support that day; it was a very very very long day.
When I arrived, I went across the street to visit Derek's grave; he was my mate from the start until he is no longer with us. A long-time Bike Rally crew-mate! I didn’t have enough time to locate his grave; even I have been there many times. Last year, there wasn't a gravestone; hopefully there will be one soon. He is missed by many from the bike rally, especially myself.
This Saturday is packing day; then we leave early Sunday morning. I've trained hard and feel physically ready for the ride and want to be mentally ready as well. I want you to know: your generous support means a great deal to me especially in these economically difficult times.
Sunday August 4. departure location and details; oh I’m expecting gifts or cash from you to help my way to Montreal and back! lol winks winks..

Well, once again I appreciate your generous donations, and other support encouraging me to get back on my bike. I’m so looking forward any final donations towards the ride, helping the Toronto PWA Foundation to make a positive difference.

Updates July 20, 2024
Kipling-Burlington 111km, my 2nd attempt and I did it! Along the way met a new rider; we rode together to lunch and then to the finish. Another friend for life! It felt great to to finish this 111km ride (with a few painkillers to keep my knee problems under control).
It’s about 2 weeks to go to departure day. I’m still asking for donations and hope to reach my 2K goal. All of the PWA clients that I know are grateful for the services that PWA is able to provide.
UPDATE JULY 14, 2024
Kipling-Burlington 111km
Attempted this training distance, to qualify for the real ride on Aug 4.
Unfortunately just before reaching the lunch break, my old leg injuries created too much pain and I couldn't ride any further. I was so disappointed after my many months of recovery from my broken leg, and then bike training all spring.
UPDATE JUNE 08, 2024
This was my 2nd outdoor training ride. Kipling-Oakville 75km
It was such a great feeling, I felt encouraged after what I have been through… proved that I can ride long distances again!
UPDATE JUNE 01, 2024
My first ever outdoor training ride in this year. Warden-Pickering 66km.
Unfortunately I was not able to finish; I had to stop only 6km from the finish line. After 60 km and reaching the peak on the road, both of my legs muscles cramped and I was unable to finish the ride.
UPDATE APRIL 04, 2024
Last indoor training ride with bike rally riders
UPDATE FEBRUARY 15, 2024
Starting indoor training ride with bike rally riders
The Bike Rally is important to me because money raised for Toronto PWA Foundation goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS: people who need food, wellness care, peer support; they provide a space that is welcoming and safe for them.
Before going further I also want to THANK YOU for the following people supporting ME in this ride.. Here are the names..
Jackie Lee, Tim Lee, Peter Lee, Peggy Lee, Jun Liu, Bill Eadie, Ray McKenna & Michael Wu
Please support my ride; you can make the positive difference and to support me reach my fundraising goal and more ...

I fractured my leg badly in Feb 2020, resulting in health complications, so I spent the first year of the pandemic in rehab: wheelchair, then slowly walking with 2 canes; I'm still doing physio after 4 years. I did the one day ride in 2016 and 2018; I returned to the bike rally as crew 2 years ago, with great help and encouragement from fellow crew members Tim and Jehd. Rehab, spin classes and short outdoor rides, to build my strength; I'm determined to complete the 1-day ride this year. I'm riding in memory of my bike rally partner of many years, Derek Yee.
This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them.
