I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS.
I hope you'll join me at the Friends for Life Bike Rally and help support my fundraising efforts with a donation. You are welcome to choose where your support goes - Toronto: Toronto People with AIDS Foundation; Kingston: Trellis HIV and Community Care; Montreal: AIDS Community Care Montréal.
As you may know, I moved to Ottawa 2 years ago. I am supporting Ottawa community initiatives but I am also back at the Bike Rally. Here's why:
1. This event is important to me because the money raised goes to help people living with HIV/AIDS. People who need food, wellness care, peer support or just to be in a place that is welcoming and safe for them. The face of HIV is changing - these days, it's refugees, and especially marginalized folks who have no supports. The Bike Rally provides this much-needed support while respecting human dignity.
2. I love being with my Bike Rally friends. The ride is a fantastic life-changing experience. I have done it 7 times (plus once on road support). Sponsor me and let me convince you that you should ride too.
3. Some day, I will do that super-ride I keep talking about. It's called the Tour d-Afrique - from Cairo to Capetown. It's few a years away, but I can't be a slouch - I need rides like this to get me ready!
This cause is close to my heart, and I hope you can join me in supporting it!
You can help support me by making a secure online donation using your credit card. Thank you!!!
