Welcome to my Friends for Life Bike Rally page!  I am so excited to be part of the Friends for Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. 

August 6, 2023 will mark my one year anniversary moving from Denver to Toronto. F4LBR will be my way to look back on the year, and give back to my new community here. 

My husband, pup and I now live in the Village neighborhood, the historic home of Toronto's LGBTQ communities. In 1986, just two blocks from our home, four gay men living with HIV/AIDS, frustrated by the lack of services for people already infected, formed a coalition to provide services to people living with AIDS, using a peer-to-peer model. Now known as Toronto People with AIDS Foundation, today they continue that mission: “to engage people living with HIV/AIDS in enhancing their health and well-being through practical and therapeutic support, and broader social change, and to inspire them to live into their dreams and discoveries.”

Please join me in looking forward to a time when people living with HIV/AIDS have the food, wellness care, and peer support they need. Please join me to support a place in Toronto that is welcoming and safe for them.
