The TMX Cycling Team is excited to announce that we’re supporting the Friends for Life Bike Rally on August 4th!

The Friends for Life Bike Rally is the only volunteer-led ride that brings people together for an inclusive, supportive, and life-changing challenge that inspires much-needed help for people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto, Kingston and Montreal. 

TMX Cycling is fielding a team for the 1-Day, 110 km Toronto to Port Hope route on August 4th. This is the shortest version of the Friends For Life Bike Rally and it’s a fully supported ride, which means that the charity will provide support crews all the way to Port Hope. A bus service provided by the organizers will take the team (and our bikes) back to Toronto that evening.

A 110 km ride can be mentally and physically challenging, but as this is our 6th event of our 2024 Grand Tour schedule, we’ll be in great shape to take on the challenge. Importantly, the Bike Rally is not a race, so your TMX Cycling ride leaders will make sure that we all cycle together and at a pace that suits everyone’s ability. (pro tip, the prevailing wind in Southern Ontario during August is from the West to the East. With a bit of luck, we’ll have a tail-wind the whole way).
